The
Woodcock-Muñoz
Foundation (WMF) is a private, non-profit
operating foundation that supports the advancement of contemporary
cognitive assessment. The WMF engages in programs of instructional
support to professional preparation programs, research concerning
the abilities of individuals with diagnosed exceptionalities, and
closely-related educational and research projects.
At the WMF, we promote contemporary practices in
the assessment of cognitive abilities, internationally, through a
variety of programs that provide support for:
a)
instructional materials that are important to graduate training
programs in cognitive assessment,
b)
research into the cognitive profiles of individuals with diagnosed
exceptionalities (learning problems, neuropsychological conditions,
behavioral and psychiatric problems, and giftedness),
and
c) the
advancement of effective clinical assessment practices and the
dissemination of research findings through direct professional
development opportunities.
We actively engage in collaborative research with
professionals who seek to advance knowledge into neuropsychological
and clinical exceptionalities.
