The Excel-based correlation matrices are believed to be accurate.  However, it is possible that the quality control procedures may have, on occasion, missed a possible incorrect value or sign ( - or +).  It is ultimately the users responsibility to verify the provided Excel correlation matrix against the published matrix (if available in the original article).
